Genisis at the El Portal Theatre

A good friend of mine, Stefani, invited me along to shoot a tribute band a friend of hers was in, Genisis. It was at the El Portal theatre in N. Hollywood, CA. The lighting was amazing so we were able to get some pretty awesome shots. Every time the colored lights started to flash I picked my camera up and started shooting away. So when I got home I had hundreds of similar photos, but I wanted to catch as much of the changes in light as possible. You can never take too many pictures with digital! Something I had trouble shooting was the drummer. I felt so bad that I couldn't even get a descent shot of him. Every angle I tried I couldn't get up high enough to shoot over the drums. It would have been great if I could have been right up on stage taken pictures! ;)

Beautiful Headshots

I shot with KrisD Mauga, a lifestyle photographer, www.krashingmotions.com, for headshot portraits for an awesome client of hers, Jen. It was my first time shooting with KrisD as well as working with a client. For previous shoots and school projects I have used my friends and family. The shoot went great! I was able to shadow KrisD and also take pictures of my own which was a lot of fun. Jen was very laid back and made it very easy for us to shoot. She looked beautiful and we got so many great shots. Great Experience!
